Some Real Stories that Show what You can do

All of the information that has been presented on these pages is like somebody looking at a manual on how to operate a computer. This just shows you what you could do, but once you have seen some of the experiences people have had with computers it will show you what all can happen with them once you learn how to use them. This will show you what has happened as a result of people like each and everyone of you, decided to take the initiative and just try to make a little difference in the world that we live in. Given that no one person sponsors these large organizations, what happens is a result of each person that has put a little part into the cause.

2005 Tieton River Canyon

The Tieton River Canyon has been a place faught over for numerous years. Just recently a couple of grants, one $2.4 million and one $2.8 million, from the government along with money from conservancy organiztions accumulated more than $8 million to accomplish the project here at Tieton River Canyon. There had been little pieces of land that were already conserved, but with the newest piece of the puzzle all of these are going to be knit together in one large conserved area. There will be over 20,000 acres total in this project, and it is home to numerous species of owls, nesting golden eagles, bullhead sheep, and different species of trout. This land will be open to the public for use. This will allow many people to experience nature firsthand, which would not be possible in years to come if it were not for organizations like this.

2006 13,000 Acre Ranch in California

California is often thought of for its beaches and star-studded roads. This is one of the things that you will find if you travel out west to california, but now you will also be able to see a 13,136 acre ranch that is on Deer Creek Canyon. There are still many types of animals that roam these lands, along with cattle. There is still room for them, but with the hussle and bussle of cities, and the growing numbers of rural areas and communities there is not a lot of area that will be left. This is where the ranch comes into play. These 13,000 acres are going to reamain untouched by development companies, which will ensure that the remaining animals have a place to call home. This was made possible by over $2.4 million that was raised through conservation organizations. It is another example of what can be done with a little effort.

1940 Bald Eagle Endangered

The United States of America is home to us all, and has been founded on many morals and beliefs that should be dear to us. The animal that was chosed to represent our country was the Bald Eagle. This majestic bird represents our nation and we should take pride in this animal. In 1940 the Bald eagle was placed on the endangered species list. This was an indication that this animal was headed toward extinction. It was being killed for it amazing look and majestic sense. Through the help of many organizations over the next many years the bird has been coming back strong. This national symbol has been moved off of the endangered species list, and there has been talk recently of removing it from the threatened species list. This is a remarkable thing that has been accomplished, and should be very meaningful to all of the American people who will now be able to show their kids what this animal is and tell stories about them. This just goes to show what can be done with a little bit of effort on out part.
