Dejan Jakovic

My story

My name is Dejan jakovic and I am originally from the former country of Yugoslavia. I moved to Canada when I was six years old when the war broke out in my country. I've played soccer since I was seven years old, and soccer has been pretty much my life. I got offered a scholarship to go to UAB and I took it right away. Then again who wouldnt want to play soccer and get your schooling get payed at the same time.

C-USA Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 31 ... one of top marking backs in country ... held Memphis's Dayton O'Brien (Hermann Trophy Candidate) and high-scoring Andy Metcalf to no goals or assists ... scored a goal in the Georgia State win (9/11) ... had three shots, all on goal, for the year ... missed just 11 minutes of play in 17 matches played.
