Tink Drawing

The life of Tinkerbell began in 1904 with British playwriter Sir James M. Barrie casting her in his original play, Peter Pan. She was portrayed as a flying light beaming with spunk and attitude.

Animator Marc Davis, who is known for the creations of Bambi, Cinderella, and others, bought life to her throught the light of drawing. He created Tink as a mischevios pixie complete with womanly curves and a seductive pout to match. It was believed that Marilyn Monroe was the figure behind Tinker Bell, but that was only a MYTH. It was model Margaret Kerry who helped breath full life into the sketches of Marc by being a real life model of Tinkerbell.

Margaret would pose with props and give life to the pixie with poses, expressions, and feelings while animators sketched.

In 1956, Tinker Bell starred in her first commercial, the Peter Pan Peanut Butter commercial.

As years went on, Tinker Bell continued to rise to the top.
