By returning the “M” back to MTV, based on evidence of the success of music in television, MTV would regain its original audience from the 1980’s generation, as well as a new generation of music enthusiasts. That is to say, MTV should embrace the evolution of culture with music, instead of relinquishing all music from its programming in an attempt to stay relevant. |

What is more, music videos will always be a popular form of entertainment. In a world where music is always evolving, it is hard for music videos to not be relevant to today’s younger generation. Rather than regurgitating reality television shows such as The Real World time and time again, allowing music, including interviews and videos, to air on a primetime broadcast would be a profitable strategy for MTV. ![]() |
