Rotational Inertia

Abstract:

In this lab the purpose was to determine the rotational inertia* of the lab setup with different weights. Different radii were used with the weights. The angular acceleration of the apparatus with no weight was determined to be 2.78. The equetions found for inertia were: M=0.121kg, I=Io+1.380MR^1.57, with M=0.151Kg, I=Io+1.752MR^1.7, and with M=0.242kg I=Io+1.403MR^1.63.
