HTTP and FTP are both standard ways of sending/receiving files through a network. How do they compare with respect to privacy? FTP is more private because it requires you ot identify yourself with a user name and password. How do they compare with respect to convenience? HTTP is more covenient because you do not have to enter a user name and password to access it. 3. Is it correct to say that folders/directories contain data? It is correct because they store the data from the computer . 4. Pathnames and URLs are because they both specify the location of the file on the given host, with slashes separating folder names. 5. How can you recognize whether something is a pathname or a URL. A URL must specify which computer the file is on and a pathname assumes which computer the file is on.
