I am a PhD Student in Department of Computer and Information Sciences in University of Alabama at Birmingham. I started my PhD in August 2007 in Knowledge Discovery and Data mining, often referred to as KDDM Lab of CIS dept. at UAB and my advsior is Dr. Chengcui Zhang. I like to focus my research in the area of Information extraction and retrieval using Machine Learning on diverse set of data like videos, text and images.
