This is a web page designed by Leanard C. Thompson II (AKA LT Boogie) for his Computer Science 101 class. in this class he has learned the basics and a few tricks to make web pages usind the html format. The class has been very helpful since his sister is lookin for someone to get the website for her fitness gym off the ground and running. I am a Biology major with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Alabama - Birmingham. On this page, you will find breif desciptions of the general cousre load of a student Biology student at UAB. Towards the end of the page will be links for the grading and critiquing pleasures of his oh so cool lab instuctor Brad!
This is one of the most challenging classes that I have taken thus far in my scholastic career. The time consumtion that the class requires is CRAZY man. It's all about your ability to use your critical thinking. Once you add that with adequate studying and preparation, the class is a breeze. Nothing is a given, you MUST stay on top of this class to pass.
The study of the DNA and all that great stuff. The variations, the processes, the experiments, the past and gone scientists who did the experiments the we read about the. . . . . I think you understand. There is no way to learn all there is to know about Genetics in one semester. Its a very intersting subject that would keep you indulged in the book. (thats if you really like the class or you really want that good grade :-) )
I loved the first part of physics because it dealt with things that I could easily understand and grasp. Now we are talking electric and magnetic fields and invisible lines and waves and . . . . . I think you get the picture again. Physics is just one of those classes that you have to adapt your style of thinking to. In the end, it is still one of my favorite classes (probably because my grade is highest in this class).
I REALLY don't know what the future has in store for me. As of right now, the view is slightly eclipsed by Genetics, College Physics II, Organic Chemistry II, and Computer Science 101. I know I want to become a doctor in the future but that is a long ways down the road. As of right now, all I can think about is passing these classes and thinking of ways that I can top this year's Spring Break. I think the answer is either LA, Vegas, or out of the country somewhere. I am taking suggestions.
